Earth Day Activities #1: Interactive Earth Day Bulletin Board Activity

This bulletin board activity includes facts about Earth Day, a heading,  and your choice of several coordinating borders.

What is included in this Earth Day Bulletin Board:

🌳  10 color and black and white Earth day facts

🌳  3 different bulletin board headings in two different font choices:

    • “Every Day is Earth Day!”
    • “Reduce Reuse Recycle”
    • “Be Earth Friendly!”

Tips for using this bulletin board activity in your classroom:

  • Review each Earth fact then assign a fact to one or two students. They will research and find out more information, then present it to the class and post it on the bulletin board using the included research paper.
  • Have students find other interesting Earth facts that deserve to be on the bulletin board. Students research that fact, then present to the class and post their information on the bulletin board.
  • Students pick a fact from the bulletin board. They write a paragraph on what they learned when researching this fact.

2. Earth Day Mystery Graphing Activity

The coordinate graphing pictures vary in length and difficulty and include:

  • Earth with Heart- easiest
  • Recycle Symbol- intermediate
  • Earth Day- lengthy intermediate
  • Tree- advance               

Why should teachers use this Earth Day activity in their classroom?

  • Both sets of graph papers required for the activity are included.
  • Perfect for early finishers, sub plans or homework.
  • Four mystery pictures in either the first quadrant – positive integers only – or four quadrants – positive and negative numbers
  • Answer keys for all

This resource is differentiated to meet the needs of your students. Four pictures each have two levels of differentiation. Choose between one or four quadrants depending on the skills of your students. Let your students achieve the same results but work at the level they need in order to succeed.
