Four Ways to Use this Vocabulary Worksheet

Students can use this vocabulary sheet in several ways:

  • Use it as a pre-assessment to see what words your students know. If they cannot figure out a word they leave it blank and fill it in as they read the text.
  • As they read the text, stop and draw a picture of the word they are learning. Then use it in an original sentence.
  • As a review of the text they just read. Students can look back at the text to get the correct information to fill out the sheets.
  • As a quick assessment of their knowledge of the vocabulary words. Students will not use any materials to help them answer the sheets.

How to Use This Seasons Lab Activity

This 4 page Lab calls for globes and flashlights. Don’t have them? No problem!

  • No globes? Use a basketball, kickball, or any spherical object you have in your room
  • No flashlight? Use a lamp without the shade. This may even work better because the lightbulb shines from all directions and creates a good visual for your students.
  • I do not receive a commission for these links, I just want to share what I used. Globes I used. Flashlights I used. I liked that batteries were included in the flashlights!

These Notes Sheets will Enhance your Seasons Lesson

  • While reading the text, have students take notes on what they are learning.
  • This guided 3-page document shows your students the main points of the reading activity.
  • Added drawing section gives your students an alternate way to show their knowledge of the subject.
  • Great way to gauge understanding of the topic your students are reading.
  • Use this as a review instead of notes. See what your students have retained after they have read!
