Ideas for Using This Women’s History Month Activity Booklet:
- Dedicate one entire class period to this booklet.
- Read and complete one scientist per day. This will allow more time for reflection of the person’s life. Often, this method drives students to further research this person and find additional information about them.
- Show videos to supplement each woman in the booklet.
- Assign groups to read and summarize one woman’s biography. They become the “experts” and teach the class about what they learned. They can also lead the class in completion of the related puzzle.
- Students find another notable woman in science. They must conduct further research about this woman and present their findings to the class.
